Replacing tires on RV's can be a big hassle. Why have the trouble of hooking up a trailer or moving your RV from storage to take it to a tire shop that does not specialize in RV tires? Do they carry all makes and models? Do they understand bias vs radial tires? Do they stock trailer only tires? Are they familiar with your wheel covers and valve stem extensions? An RV is not your typical vehicle, don't rely on a typical tire shop that may not be able to take care of your vehicle's needs. We provide service for small tent trailers to Class A diesel pushers with 22.5" size tires. How do I find out what tire size and type of tire I need?
The tire size will be located on the existing tires but please make sure this is the same size as what is noted on the vehicle if you want the stock OEM size.
Tire size is a series of three numbers with multiple letters, Example: LT245/75R 16
LT shows that this is a Light Truck tire. Trailer tires will normally begin with ST.
The "R" means that this is a Radial tire. A "D" designates a Bias Ply tire.
It is also helpful to know the load range of the tire. This is normally shown as C, D, E, F or G for RV's. Load Range C is equivalent to a 6 ply tire, D is equivalent to a 8 ply tire, E a 10 and so on. If you can't find this information don't worry we can help.
